Have you ever wondered what the ngāhere/forest looks like zoomed in? In this workshop you get to discover the fascinating micro world of Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne.

You’ll wander the ngāhere collecting items you want to explore, then bring them inside to see them up close with a paper microscope you’ll assemble yourself.

You’ll get your high-quality photograph in digital form (emailed) of your favourite find as well as your paper microscope to take home and continue to explore in your backyard.

All materials are provided. Ages 10 years and older. Guardians are welcome to drop children off to collect afterwards.

Visitors to Zealandia Te Mārā a Tāne will be required to show their Vaccination Pass prior to entry. Children under 12-years and 3-months will not be required to present a COVID Vaccination Certificate. When arriving to Zealandia you will be welcomed by a staff member who will check your pass.
