Pounamu, 10x Objective

In the tiny mineral threads of pounamu, the microscope has revealed mountainous vistas: a tiny piece of Te Wai Pounamu, New Zealand's South Island - precisely where it came from!
This is a composite of 15+ images captured with a microscope, focus-stacked and stitched together. The pounamu sample was taken from a carver's offcuts and meticulously thin sectioned for close examination (aboard a geology research vessel no less, but that's another story...!)
All indicated sizes are printed on a Premium 255gsm Metallic Gilcee paper unless clearly labelled "POSTER". See "Papers" on the right for more info.
